Bagel Shop Financial Model Template

Are you trying to create financial projections for your bagel shop but not sure where to start? If so, then you’re in the right place. We made the financial model template for bagel shops so you won’t have to mess around with spreadsheets, and you can get back to doing the things you actually enjoy.

Poindexter makes it easy to produce professional financial forecasts without any experience in finance, accounting, or spreadsheets. There are no complicated equations, and you won’t need to learn how to construct a balance sheet. All you need is some basic knowledge of your business, and our software automatically produces a complete financial analysis.

How the Bagel Shop Financial Model Template Works

The drawback of most templates is they don’t take into account that each business is inherently unique, and we end up trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. This template, however, was designed with flexibility in mind, so it’s effortless to make structural adjustments without breaking everything.

The bagel shop financial model is intended to be used as a starting point for your business. We’ve included some standard items you’ll likely encounter, such as paying salaries, so you can quickly get a sense of how the software works. Once you have your bearings, making updates to the financial plan takes only minutes, so you can spend your time focusing on what makes your financial story unique.

Some of the example items provided in the template include:

Revenues

The revenue model is separated into different revenue streams based on specific products. These initial products include bagel sales, coffee sales, pastry sales, and more! Revenue is calculated based on the percentage of customers purchasing each product. Adding, updating, and removing products is very easy and takes no time at all. You can also reconfigure the entire revenue model to forecast sales based on something else entirely.

Costs

Costs generally come in two forms: fixed and variable. We’ve included examples of both types in this financial model template. Some of the fixed costs include basic items like rent, utilities, and advertising which are all consistent on a monthly basis. Variable costs, however, are a little more “varied” as far as their method of calculation. We’ve chosen to start simple and include the cost of goods as a percentage of sales separated by product type. This means we can set different percentages for each product to reflect the different rates of profitability between bagels and coffee, for instance. Poindexter offers several other variable cost calculations, but these examples should be enough to get you started.

Investments

The balance sheet is often the document people new to financial forecasting struggle with most. However, these troubles are now a thing of the past. Poindexter makes adding new assets, loans, or equity to your balance sheet very simple. We’ve included an example for storefront renovations to show just how easy it is!
